Supporting Chefs/Artisans and Small Businesses

The New York African Restaurant Week (celebrating the best of African/Black Diaspora cuisine and culture) is taking place from October 7 – 23 2021.

The New York African Restaurant week aims to stimulate the local economy and  encourage people to discover dishes they might not have had the opportunity to try before – this is an opportunity in New York where food from Africa and the Black Diaspora finds itself on the “foodie” radar.

Some of the restaurants will be offering special menus and prices in honor of the week.

The Celebration also includes a festival on October 9 & 10 2021 produced with the support of the Flatbush Junction Business Improvement District. Festival includes food tasting, a marketplace with vendors (food, fashion, art, crafts, wellness, beauty) , cultural performances, Afrobeat sets, poetry and more (family friendly).
