Let’s put African/Black Diaspora food on the “foodie” radar

The first ever New Jersey African Restaurant Week (celebrating the best of African/Black Diaspora cuisine and culture)  is taking place from August 12 – 22 2021.  We are looking for a moment in New Jersey where the food from Africa and the Black Diaspora finds itself on the “foodie” radar.

The “week” is broken down into 2 components  – the restaurant experience and festival days on August 21 and 22 (outdoor event with over 40 vendors).

The first ever Restaurant week aims to encourage people to discover dishes they might not have had the opportunity to try before and to help stimulate the local economy. Some of the restaurants would be offering special menus and prices in honor of the week (please visit
