
AFRICAN POPUP FESTIVAL (SUMMER EDITION)
@ THE FLATBUSH-NOSTRAND JUNCTION (JULY 22 & 23)

The African Popup Festival celebrating local businesses and culture will take place on Saturday and Sunday July 22 and 23 at Hillel Plaza on Flatbush/Nostrand Junction in Brooklyn and will run from 12pm – 7pm on both days.
The festival would include food tasting by various chefs and artisans, a marketplace with vendors (food, fashion, art, crafts, wellness, beauty) , cultural performances, a jam session (with various artists from across the Diaspora).
Entertainment/Live Performances – Special performances by local and international talents. DJs spinning the best of Afrobeat/Amapiano/Soca/Kompa and more.
Food – Come enjoy the feasts! This family-friendly event will celebrate cuisine from all parts of Africa and the Black Diaspora – food would be available for sale by vendors – including vegan options.
Taste & Vote (Chef Contest) – Chef contest where attendees choose their favorite dish. A small cash prize would be awarded to the winning chef. A Winner would be announced on both days. Tasting tickets for the taste and vote contest can be purchased online or at some local businesses.
