On behalf of the New York African Restaurant Week (ARW) team, I would like to invite you to participate in our 9th inaugural African Restaurant Week celebration in New York City (October 7 – 23, 2021). We are looking forward to a memorable gastronomical experience that promotes African/Black Diaspora cuisine and culture in New York City.
Every year, NYARW curates a selection of restaurants and chefs and brings together Africa enthusiasts, savvy travelers and individuals from various communities on a “GastroAfrique Culinary Odyssey.”
Some of the Events Include:
- Food Festival – This would include food & wine tastings, market place with vendors across fashion, arts,, beauty, self care and more, Live cultural performances, DJ sets and cooking contest
- Popup dinners by chefs – a 3 to 5 course dinning series – This events aims to bring community together, highlight chefs from across the Diaspora, culture, cuisine and ultimately help make a difference by donating part of the proceeds to an organization making change. Learn More
- Cooking classes – is an interactive cooking session where local and international chefs tell their stories, teach and highlight their various cooking techniques and ingredients.
